Cooling Fan

Does any one know of an electric fan that I could get from a Junk yard and put in place of my regular fan. Thanks

I think it was a lincoln Mark IV or something like that, hopefully this thread will get more posts. You could also get one off of a rear ended 94 or 95 or somthin, don't see why it wouldn't work.

Weel my friend im put a dual electrical fan from a ford focus 2002, and i live in a place realy hot 120 F on summer, my car runs 12.80 and im use the car every day with the A/C and i dont have any temp. problems 190 F all the time and also i have a edelbrock water pump. the only thing is that i need to put a 110 amp. alternator if you go with 140 amp. it would be better. My chevy friend use this fans to and they are very happy. So if you can go with that fans.

94-95 GT fans work well. Also the mid-early Taruas fans work quite well.

Lincoln Mark 8 fans are the ****. You could cool a nuclear reactor with one.:)

As for after-market fans check out the RamCharger dual fan unit (see link at bottom) and STAY AWAY from the Flex-a-lite fan. It sucks more than a Vietnemse *****.

sorry !

sorry to but in!!

But what is the best way to put in a fan Just hook it up to power and ground with an on off switch or ???

and agian sorry to but in on the thread guys!

read the article I posted above. I am not an electrician, but just hooking it to power and then to a switch is probably not the best way and would have problems down the road.

Another vote for the Focus fans. If you can find one.

You can use a fan from the v-6 taurus of the 1990-95 vintage.
Flip the fan over and it fits the radiator core perfect. Two speed fan that pulls quite well through the condenser.

The mustang and taurus radiator cores are almost exactly the same dimensions.

You've gotta do some minor trimming, but it should be a peice of cake.
