Max Cubes Max Horsepower Max everything how?
Futher down the road I really want to do either a blown small block or all motor small block. Ya it would be easier to do an all motor big block but I wanna go differnt.
I have seen 302 blocks from ford racing that can be bored to 380 cubic inches more or less I cant remember, but I was wondering if I did that where would I find pistons, crank, etc to make all that work? Would I use stuff from say a 377 or 393 stroker kit for 351s? I cant find anyone that has bigger stroker kits they only go up to 347. I am just wondering if this can be done or not thanks. |
The biggest 302 base stroker I have seen was a 357.
From a 351 base engine, you can go to a 427 ci. with a stock 351 block. But now they even offer these small blocks with a larger standard bore. 4.125 instead of 4 inch. That means you can be over 440 cubes with ease and go bigger if wanted. The only thing limiting you, is finding a head to flow enogh volume for that cubic inch. Not hard, just expensive. Go to Scat inc., they sell these big stroker kits for the small block Fords. |
they got a web site ?

Mexican block and the FRP block can be bored .040 over and that will allow the 302 to go to a 308. The mexican block comes from the 86GT but doesnt have dished pistons I think.
