finally installed new trans

I finally put in my new trans. Its a Art Carr AOD w/ Man VB and 2600 converter. What a blast to drive now! If youre running a AOD I would highly recommend getting a converter

Sorry to take so long to answer Ive been out of town all week. Right now Im running stock engine w/1.7 rockers and TFS street intake and 65 tb. Ive got another engine on the stand that might go back together faster than I expexted. Its got ported heads and a b cam which Im going to run the 1.7 rockers on. the reason I say its going to go back together quicker is on the way home from trip one of the lifters died and beat the pushrod bad the rocker looks ok but if Im going go to that much troble Im just going to pull the rocker swap the intake and yank the engine Its got 130K on it and the other ones is only got 6K since rebuild

Auto trans

Bill,
I have really been thinking about shifting to an auto. I haven't talked to Tony G at HP in Middleburg in a while, but I know his wife's car is a twin turbo daily driver with AOD and it's a great ride.
I am getting tired of shifting in traffic and my syncros aren't what they used to be and I'm sure my fork is bent. How hard was the shift to an auto? I know I would have to get a new computer. Aren't there some wiring harness issues too going from a man to an auto?
Thanks,
John in Jax

Hey John, how you doing? My car was already an auto but it was stock and 125K on it. Funny you mention Sherrys twin turbo because the trans I got from Tony came out of her car. Art Carr built the converter for my car and they built another one that can hold like 1000 HP for her car.
I think the only difference is the neutral/safety switch which also tells the computer to raise rpm in gear. The converter in mine allows it to stay at the same rpm but the computer wants to kick it up. Ive got the manuel VB so I have to shift but no clutch involved. Its a blast to drive now and Im going to need some traction to really see how well it works.
