Is There A Way To Make My Car Sound Like It Has A Blower????????

I want that high pitched whine when i rev it up, but cant afford a real blower. is there any way i could put some sort of belt driven thing on the motor that would have that whistle sound when i rev it?

i would like this because then at lights, i could rev it, & everyone would think i have a blower!!!

thanks

Replace your regular timing chain with a gear-drive,that will give you the sound your looking for http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif

Be careful though, cause guys like myself,if we hear a simliar sound in the next lane over,we just might see how bad that blower sounding car is http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif

mustanguy is right, basically other than an actual blower a gear drive is the closest you'll get.

Ditto. Gear drives. They use straight cut gears just like the inside of a blower to keep your timing dead on, but they also make a very similar noise.

They sound cool but you'll be asking for trouble. Then every guy that beats you is going to brag about how he beat a blown stang, when in reality, a blown stang is hard to beat! I raced a Nova recently and he fired his engine up and I heard the gear drive, I made a comment about how his power steering pump needed fluid. He got mad and wanted to run'em. I started my car and my powerdyne is silent, boy did he get his but whooped. Moral, stealth is cool. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif

I won't miss a chance with a blower car and damn it's sweet when you beat them! Dude, frontin' like you've got a blower would make you a poser, Don't be a poser! Leave the frontin' for the ricers.
