EGR question

I have my EGR valve disabled (block off in upper intake), I did this at the same time I installed an off road H-pipe, If I a re-enable the EGR system will it cut down on some of the exhaust smell? I figure it's all because of no cats but it smells kinda like gas, would this help any?

Try more fuel at idle. Do you feel like your eyes are burning?

Get an adjusable fuel pressure regulator and lean it out.

If your car is still speed density this is a common problem. The adustable fuel pressure regulator should fix it.

Your car probably runs rich anyway, and without those mini "incinerators" in your exhaust you will smell more unburnt fuel than normal.

lean it to what PSI?
I'm running 37psi at idle now

If you are running 37 WOT fuel pressure then that should be lean enough.

I blocked off my EGR and my car runs rich at an idle also. I just live with it.

I assume WOT fuel press is the same as with the vac line off regulator, thats how i set it 37psi ai idle w/vac line off.
Thanks
