Bucking, bad Idle, codes 24,33,34
My car started this occasional bucking thing , and finally threw a code of 33. Yesterday, It started bucking again, only this time it was like something broke, because the car would not continue to run unless I constantly pumped the gas. I had to limp home, and slingshot the car into the garage by constantly goosing the gas, then easing out the clutch to get it up the slight hill to my garage. where it stalled as soon as I let off the gas. today, I pulled the koeo codes and have a 24 and 33. and the car starts and runs today, allthough I did not try to drive it.
How accurate are the computer codes. If I replace the parts that the codes reference, Is it a good bet that it will fix the problem? I am thinking about replacing the fuel filter also, It seems like some kind of fuel problem. Anyone experience this before? oh, by the way, the car has always had code 15 which has something to do with the computer, but the car has run fine until recently. |
sorry, dont know what the codes mean. But i had the same problem. It could be one a of (sorry but) many things. Check the TPS, IAC, vaccum leaks, ignition coil, clutch neutral safety switch, egr valve, and with me the problem was the mass air.
