Not sure if this is advice.

I cried the other day. You see, Ive been married for 14 years. In this state it seems you would spend an average of 7 years in jail for murder. I didn't cry because Id be out of jail by now. I cried because I would have been off PAROLE by now!

To each his own. It's hard to get advice because every situation/experience is different. Who cares what anyone else says if you go back (or if he does). Live for yourself..not others.
Besides, if it is over. Be happy that it happened, not sad because it ended!
