What is your favorite Raman flavor?

Title says it all, I was just wondering what was the "most loved Raman noodle":D

I voted chicken, but it's actually cajun chicken I like the most...

tireburner163 02-20-2004 05:03 PM

I voted chicken too.

I like to drain 95% of the water out and then add the little packet to the noodles.

I usually cook 2 packs with the flavoring and a bunch of Tony Chacher's Creole seasoning, then drain the water when it's done (I don't add the packets afterward cause it's a little too much flavor for me).

Anyone else fell like you just ate total bullsh*t food after you eat ramen even though it seemed good before/while eating?

69fastback 02-20-2004 07:32 PM

I sure feel like I ate crapy food after i am done. I will eat two packs and feel like I haven't eaten antying.

Stang_Crazy 02-20-2004 09:14 PM

I like em' all cause they're cheap....kinda like me :)

I like to remove the noodles from the heat when they are aldente(sp?). Because the broth is so damn hot, the noodles will finish cooking while you wait for it to cool down. Voila! No mushy noodles! Of course you could always throw some ice cubes in the broth instead of waiting for it to cool.

I do that too... almost no liquid at all, just enough to keep it from being too dry and sticky.

Tony's seasoning is great! :)

RBatson 02-21-2004 02:42 PM

I don't eat it much but when I do, I like it strong. Drain the juice and stir the noodles. I'd prefer the beef but the chicken is fine too.

Capri306 02-21-2004 08:06 PM

I voted beef. Hard call between that and chicken, though. I've basically been living on Ramen since September because the food is so horrid here @ UDM. :( Good ol' Sodexho..... grrrr.....

Yeah, you might feel cheap after eating it, but hey, where else can you get SIX MEALS for about a buck?!? :D Yes I cheat and use the "Instant Lunch" styrofoam cup thingies.

Oriental flavored... :)

Ohhhhh that's good too!

Actually I prefer the beef over plain chicken flavor. It has to be cajun chicken, if they're out, it's oriental or beef because they have more kick than plain chicken.
Tony Chacheres seasoning helps too! :) I was raised on New Orleans cajun cooking, so I love that stuff! http://www.tonychacheres.com/

Oriental flavor.... maybe it has something to do with me being a vegetarian..........

That's weird that someone posted this b/c just the other day, I was about to post a thread "I think I'm addicted to Ramen noodles!"

i eat this stuff for lunch almost everyday. have yet to get old.

FordFastGirl5.0 02-24-2004 04:20 PM

Its gotta be chicken... nothing but.

Hethj7 02-25-2004 12:03 AM

I like to break up my noodles before they are cooked and then cook them with just enough water to get them moist. I really don't eat them like a soup at all.

jocatmust 02-26-2004 06:36 PM

i like the chicken flavor. I using drain most the water and then put the packet in it. It taste okay, but not very filling. I usually eat it when money is low. It is easy to fix is a plus. I live by myself, so it will be my choice of meal for awhile until I get on my feet again.
