No oil pressure at idle

I noticed the other day that when my car idles down the stock oil pressure gauge drops to zero, anybody have this happen to them? Should I bump the idle up a little, or go to a heavier oil? Thanks

How many miles on the motor????? Mine was doing the same thing at 100,000... Fords are'nt known for their great oil pressure...

two options, try a new sending unit or install a quality aftermarket guage.... recommend the later.....

not sure of the cause for Ford's crap oil pressure....

gears (4:10's) on their way!!!!

She just rolled over 100,000 on saturday. The gauge reads normal all the time except when the idles goes really low, then it just drops off to nothing.

Get a reliable gauge.
