Hooker.

I've heard that MAC's fit. What ever you do don't get BBK, they wouldn't even get close to clearing my brothers AOD.

Kook's and Bassani both make 'em although both of these might not fit into your 'reasonably priced' range. Both are real performers though.

You can get flowtech (holley) longtubes AND matching h-pipe from sumit for about 210 bucks. They suck, but they're cheaper than dirt, and fitment is actually pretty good. The catches:

The paint burns off in 10 seconds and they look awful.
You'll spend a few solid hours finding and fixing leaks.
You better have a dremel and a sawzall cause you have to cut the flanges to install them, and relocate the 02 sensor bungs to further down the header. Still, if you MUST have longtubes, its not a bad deal.

MAC are the only way to go for AOD and a small budget in my opinion. New they will cost about $240 plus another $120 or so for an h pipe. They make a ceramic coated version for about $350. If you by the the cheaper ones they are HTS coated which sucks. I would buy these and coat them yourself with some high temp paint like VHT. Later you can spend he $200 to have them ceramic coated. I bought a set of new but never installed ones off The Corral for $160 shipped but they are hard to find. I also bought a new pro chamber and it sounds great and realized a definite power improvement. The install is tough. You must jack the engine up and remove the motor mounts. You will also need to remove the steering shaft because the pipes actually go around it. Once you've done this it is an easy install. Be sure what you buy is for an AOD if buying new or used. The headers for AOD will work with a 5 speed but 5 speed headers will not work with an AOD. You can tell the difference by checking the 02 sensor bungs. For an AOD they or on the outside of the collector tube and on the inside for a 5 speed. Feel free to contact me if you need help with the install. I can talk your through the process over the phone. Good luck!
