subframe coating

whats the best way to coat subframes to protect them from the elements?

I don't know if it is the best way or not, but I sprayed mine down with that rubberized bedliner stuff. I just bought a couple of spray cans of it and it seems to be holding up well.

If you paint them like mine are, chances are you'll be redoing like I am.

You can use the sprayon weld-thru coating. Its under $10/can(?).
I used that to coat them, looks like primer, yet you can weld thru it. Then when done, you paint them. Then if you really want, you can use the 3M undercoating stuff.
