Caster/Camber plate recommendations
 

I know NOTHING about this. I am reading about it in the Mustang Tech reference guide now.
Basically, I am wearing out the outside toe of my front tires, $158 BFG KDW's, rather quickly. But have plenty of tread on the rest of the tire.
I know, I know, slow down and all that, but I think it is time to invest in something like these plates.
Advice, install, and setting tips much appreciated.

I use the BBK caster camber plates, never had a problem and over 3 racing seasons.

PROFESSIONAL ADJUSTMENT IS A MUST. I have a complete computer read out of every degree and every angle of the setting. If you see the dragstrip often then the setup on the road will have a little bit of wear on the inside of the tires, just adjust after a while of experimentation and find a happy meduim. good luck.

Have you had the alignment checked? Is it maxed out?

I use the Maximum Motorsport ones. These are some of the beefiest ones out there. The nice (bling bling) chrome or polished or anodized ones are pretty, but I needed to support a coilover suspension, and went with durability.

drudis - looks like you have a s/t brace too (is that MM too), did you need to raise the cc plates to clear it (looks like black spacers of some kind). Most of the cc installs I see show the plates flush with the top of the tower. Did the spacers come with the plates, or is this something unique due to your coil-over setup? Thanks!

I did that to extend the strut as long as possible.
I have Koni Yellow adjustables with coilovers. Didnt wanna bottom them out, and had the hood clearance. So I simply raised the CC plates with spacers to give the struts that much more travel.

I vote Pro3i. Virtually identical construction to the MM's and very cheap. Don't use one with an aluminum plate. Get a steel plate like the MM's or Pro3i. You will thank yourself in the future if you ever do coilovers.

MM ALL THE WAY I just ordered mine and installed them not even a week ago and I do have to say, DAMN!!! With the alighnment specs that MM gives you it is like my stang is on rails. With very little or no tire wear. Now I just have to worry about breaking the 265/50's loose in the corners. :)

Thanks for all the input fellas. I am also thinking about some plates, but I want to see how my car reacts at the strip first. Excellent topic Hozer 88. Looking at the pics Drudis, it looks like you road race. I've always wanted to do that, but my car is too much of a drag car now. Too costly to switch to road race. Oh well.
