Need Adaptor for Ford Racing 5" Tachometer. Salvage yard help?

I finally got my 5" tachometer. I just don't want to cut the connector in case or i could need it in the futur. Anyway i hate to cut wired if i can fit it with factory look.

I need the other end of this connector. Does someone have already saw this on an other car. Any Salvage yard tips

wanna try re-wording that? It's a tad confusing

either way, you don't need to cut any of your factory wiring to put your tach in. It has 4 wires of its own

black is ground
green goes to the negative side of your coil
white is positive power for instrument lights
red goes to a 12V ignition power source

This is the factory wiring coming out the monster tachhttp://media.mustangworks.com/data/500/6089tach_2.jpg

I'll rather keep it intact instead of cut it off. anyway it could be usefull if i get a car with an eletronic coil in the futur.

What i need is the other end of this connector. Salvage yard is a gold mine if we know where to look. There's surely this part used for something else but it could fit my needs.

TP Sensor or maybe EGR. Gosh that looks familiar.

Drew, you've got a FMS tach. Did your have that?

no, mine was just bare wires. I've got the older FMS/autometer one that says FORD SVO on it

It looks similar to the EGR valve plug, but I'm not exactly sure.

Best bet would be to take your tach with the connector to a junkyard and start unplugging stuff:)

Or you could just cut it off and splice it back in later if need be.

After a close look. You're right

I don't know why i didn't tought of this before. For the next day this will be less ebay and more mechanical. :D

I've only saw some 2,3 and 8 wires pattern in the engine bay. But with the perfect shell, this shouldn't be too much difficult to do the right pattern with epoxy.
