Best way to remove head studs?

I'm tired of the vise grips thing, seeing how this is the second time in three days that I have had to remove my head studs.

Is there a better way? Always looking for an excuse to buy a tool.

Thanks...

I'll never say I hate working on stangs, but I do get tired once in a while.

Vise grips

Just use the jamb-nut technique with two nuts. The studs should only be threaded finger tight in the block anyway. So all you're really fighting against is the thread sealer you used on the lower studs.

Got 'em....

Thanks..

The lower studs were really in there and the jamb nut worked well as long as it went slow. The lower ones at the corners near the water jackets were the hardest...
