O2 sensor testing?
 

I have a strong suspicion my O2's are bad. (car running wayyy rich, changed and checked everything else, fuel press 40 psi, injectors are good, grounded, no leaks.)

I don't want to sound cheap, but O2's are $40 a pop.
Also, I am anal.
How do I check these? I am guessing something to do with resistance on one of the wires.
I looked for values in my reference books but couldn't find any.
Also, check engine light is disabled.

Even if the engine light is disabled, you should still be able to pull an ECM code to see if there's a rich or lean code floating around in the ECM's memory.

I dont know of any way to really test the O2....since these arent widebands, I dont know if testing them would be effective since theyre basically made to read only drastic differences in a/f mixture....like very rich, or very lean. I've run pig rich before, with brand new O2's, and they didn't throw a code. It takes a lot to make them go off....

It might be possible to CLEAN them, but....I've rarely heard of anyone doing this...

By the way....cheap + anal is a very bad combination. :D

Well with that much already invested...go ahead and do the O2's. It'll just be adding dirt to a mountain. Plus you can always do what I do....if they dont solve the problem, clean them up with some TB cleaner and return them.. Just be careful pulling the old ones out---they break easily. ;)
