Weld rims

I wanna get some weld drag lite rims for my 90gt daily driver. I like the look of the wides in back and skinnys up front but they have so many diff rim sizes and widths they offer anyone know a good size rim and tire package. I wanted some nice wide tires in the rear and the skinnys up front and my car is a daily driver, sees the highway almost daily but less then 30min commute.

I just mounted my tire's on my new draglite's yesterday. I went with 4-15x7's then 2-15x8's for a set of et streets. all with a 4.5 back spacing. all fit well and look great. My 15x8's with 26x10.5 won't fit without taking off the quad shocks. which I was told before so it was no suprise.

I would really like to see some pics, so any of the 15x7's and 8's with a 4.5 back spacing will fit without having to remove anything correct?

I took some pictures but I'm having a hard time with the camera file. I'll work on it. The 15x8's with 4.5 inch backspacing and 26x10.5 M/T ET Streets will not fit without removing the quad shocks. As far as the 15x7's they fit and look stock.

I have 15x6s in the front and 15x8s in the rear. Here are some pics. See sig for more details...

And it'll fit without having to remove anything. But, you MAY, have to watch for clearance by the fender well lip in the rear depending on tire size.

Whats the widest I can go on the rear without having to remove the quad shocks or really do anything major. I always liked the look of a 300 tire in the rear.

I also went to the weld site and whats our bolt pattern for a 90gt 4 lug? I dont wanna order the wrong rims

A 15x8 with 4.5" back spacing should not have a problem with the quad shock but you will have a outer lip problem. the 5.5" will tuck it under the fender but then the quad shock ends up being a problem. I like my 4.5" it just gives the car a better stance as the white stang above shows.

I have the 15x8 with a 5.5 inch backspacing. Running at one time 26x10's and now the 28x10.5 et drags. Yes...you need to remove the quad shocks and do a little beating on the inside of the wheel whell for clearence with that big of a tire and rim combo.
I also heard you can run a 9, and 10 inch wide rim as well!
As goes for the fronts, I would recoomend running a 15x6. If your roads are in good shape and your VERY carefull you can even run the 15x3's or 4's in the front. I always messed them up driving on the streets. Chicago doesn't have that great of streets. :)
Good luck
P.S
Wouldn't you want to remove the quad shocks and put on aftermarket lower control arms anyway?
Oh, well good luck

I forgot about that and was planning on doin that with maybe some southsides or lakewoods, how hard is it to remove the quad shocks and replace them with control arms and whats the ride like aferwords since this is my daily, the roads down here are pretty good

As goes for the quad shocks...just unbolt it. (nothing to it.)
As goes for the south sides or other control arms, its a little more work. Need to remove the rear sway bar and rear springs. Remove the 2 bolts and replace. Need to install battle boxes or similar for the south sides! The south sides are hard on the torque boxes due to solid joints. Mega-bites and such are easier due to polyuration (misspelled I know) bushings.
Good luck.
P.S
South sides require of locating pinion angle when installing.

What are better for a daily driver the mega bites or mega jr's also who makes good torque boxes and how hard is it to remove/install those.

The mega-bites allow for more adjustment. (You are allowed to adjust the length of the control arm verses not being able too with the jr's...)
As goes for the battle boxes....it should take you no more then 30 mins. for the whole thing. I did mine in 10 mins. (No back seat).
Once you "cage the car" have one of the bars connect to the top of the plate of the battle box. (Kinda hard to explain but you will understand when you see it).
I love the battle boxes from Wild Rides. Look in MM&FF magazine for the number.
Good luck

Cage is a long way away right now lol but thanks for the input i'll look into those parts.

I would suggest getting the skinnies as an extra set b/c if you use them on the street your cornering will really suck as my friend found out. Remember that they R built for straight line racing and not cornering.
