I've got the same problem, and have tried nearly everything with not much for results.

0000 steel wool is a miracle worker on chrome, give that a try first.

I've used Blue Magic's "Metal Polish Cream" on my oxidized rims (just tested a section of one rim) and I couldn't believe the difference. Literally looked like brand new-- no exaggeration. You should be able to get it at any Auto Zone or Advanced Auto.

1.mothers mag and alum paste (all metals)
2.wenol i tried the blue magic (blue cream) and i though it sucked, oh well, what do i know, i'm the bad guy, an ex-wrestler in rehab! |
Blue Magic I have had the best luck with. I tried tonight to use Boyd Rim Polish and Eagle 1 and they showed swirl marks and the acid rain drops still showed. Used Blue Magic and removed the spots and swirls then waxed them.
