shock fitment on a 86 GT?????
 
Hey guys im going to buy new shock and struts from my 86GT my question is i see alot for 87 to 93, will they work or do they have to be for the 86. thanks alot

They will work for you.

I believe the only difference is with a strut. The part of the strut that bolts to the spindle. THat area may need a spacer plate (like a washer) to make it a tight fit. Otherwise I think you are ok.

For the shocks, its all the same. I used the Lakewood 50/50's and from the part listing, those shocks fit quite a few different types of cars.

The struts are the question. When I got my Lakewood 70/30's, I had to make sure that the spacers were there. Most of the Mustang struts out there come with them, and instructions on which years need what. I forget if I needed them, but I know they came with the struts.

im looking to get some KYB shocks/struts/ are these any good, also whats the difference, i see gas-a-just and GR-2 whats diffent and whats better. thanks alot
