best street/strip clutch for 500rwhp
im getting ready to install my g force t5 so i need to ditch my center force DF (instead of just getting a new disk). What do you guys recommend? Will a mcleod twin disk fit in a stock or lakewood bellhousing? I'd like something low maintenance that will LAST. G force isn't real impressed with centerforce although i've had good luck with everyone i've owned. I've also heard good things about SPEC.

Sorry to cut in but when did you order your G force internals I heard some horror stories about there service. I have a boosted 347 goin in soon rather its gonna NOS or S/C and im really interested in the G force for the price other then that I was gonna use my t5 until it gives and go with a tremec. How much did you spend?

i paid 2100.00 and i supplied the t5. that gets you a 9310 mainshaft, upgraded forks, syncros, sliders, and a .73 fifth gear. I've never been a big fan of the way my tremec shifts...and ive had it rebuilt 3 times since ive owned it.. Am i complaining?? not at all. I had the choice of the tko II road race and the gforce, so i decided to try something new. I'd expect SOMEONE to have some sorta horror story. Hell, it wouldn't be hotrodding if there weren't! Alright. I could have gone jerico too. i admit it.

People on Turbomustangs are having good luck with SPEC stage 3's. That is what I am prolly going to get when mine dies.

I second they spec stage 3. I had a centerforce DF when I was putting down about 500rwhp without slicks it never slipped. I bought a liberty proshifted TKO for this year and it came with a sentered iron clutch that I will run but when it dies in goes a spec stage 3.
