what the heck is this.?.
a guy on a motorcycle board I belong to found this in his garage under his bike. not sure if its off the bike, or his car, or lawnmower or kids leggo set.
i have made it a mission in life to figure out what it is.. i think i've seen one before i just can't remember where. here's a link: http://community.webshots.com/photo/...31607984Cyipkg so far i've posted it on a tropical fish message board and had 30 guesses but no positive i.d.'s. |
with that o-ring looking thing on it looks kind of like some kind of needle valve stim.

Dayum fuzzy picture!
But, it looks like the plug that goes in the auto trans filler tube hole. The plug is put in on manufacture, then when the filler tube is installed, they just punch it into the trans pan. |
So they have landed then.

thanks for helping . still haven't figure out what it is but here's all the guesses so far:
1. piece of carb sync gauge 2. Illudium Q38 Explosvie Intergalactic Space Modulator! 3. valflapnoid 4. Flux Capacitor 5. doomaflatchie 6. Continuum Transfunctioner 7. springen 8. lite brite 9. another vote for flux capacitor 10. spare part 11. some kind of filter 12. piston from leggo air pump 13. something that stuck to the tire and followed him home 14. fitting for vacuum line or grease fitting 15. spout on an alcohol bottle 16. led light 17. accelerometer 18. something from the fuel system.. 19. something off carb 20. battery indicator 21. another vote for flux capacitor 22. a second vote for Continuum Transfunctioner 23. Some kind of Water, Gas Air Transfer valve 24. another vote for light / indicator 25. a really small deeldo 26. filler valve from cheap cigarette lighter 27. some kind of needle valve stem 28. something off an abs system 29. 2 votes for widget. flux capacitor has the most votes at 3, so thats probably what it is. now all we need is a delorean. course if we put a stang motor in it, it wont take as long to hit 88 miles an hour. |
No No No! You are ALL WRONG! It is a low fluid indicator for horn fluid. I have replaced tons of these on blonde cheerleaders, and ricer's cars at school. VERY EXPENSIVE PIECE ;)
