Exhaust for built 289

I have a 289 that was built by my local shelby/ford nut! It has domed pistons, aluminum world products heads (forgot the model) The engine is completely rollerized. Cam has a .600 lift. With a 750 Double pumper. Eldebrock Torquer intake. What should I use for exhaust? I have a 2 1/2 exhaust with some elcheapo mufflers right now. Should I upgrade to a 3 in? Spoke with a Rep. @ Jegs and he said that Flowmasters are not the answer. They just have a good marketing campaign. I am looking for performance and a nice semi loud tone. Any ideas?

Nothing is wrong with flowmaster, i dont know why everyone is starting to not like them. I would go with full 3'' with 1 chamber flowmasters. Sounds awesome.

Spoke with someone who had 2 chamber flowmasters and he said you could hardly even talk in the car going down the road. Does that sound accurate?

Well yeah, that is possible, considering what exhaust setup he had and what kind of motor, car,.... When i got my 1 chambers(there connected right to the header collector), it was unbareable inside, now i want it louder he he.
