4.6l Race

Im linning up against a gt 4.6l mustang friday, with my 87 mustang rho. so how many hp stock does a 4.6l have.

lesse 205 when they first came out IIRC, then 215 upto 98.

99+ is 260 & 300 ft/lbs of torque. If your oppenent is used to driving a 5.0 then they are gonna be a little slow out of the whole since torque seems to come n a little higher in the rev range. The 260 hp provides a nice top end charge though.

My best time in my 02 was 14 flat @ 99 mph, the best I've ever heard one go was 13.6 bone stock.

Hmm... im pretty sure its a 98 and down. but im not sure, i will find out thow. i think its also an stock automatic... which is good because mine is an automatic as well... but its a summit racing tranny with a 2k stall... should pull well...

Is the 4.6 stock? If so, depending on your mods you should be ok. I raced a 98 gt in my 90 gt at the track, missed 3rd and still beat him. At the time I was running 14.6's in the 90.

If you both have simmilar mods you should get a 96-98 4.6

If you line up against a 99+ GT your probably gonna get owned.
