summits "super duty T-5" ??

Whats up guys. My Stock T-5 just took a shit on me... so im looking into another tranny, but i dont have the money for a tremic 500, or the 3550.

so im looking into the the super duty T-5, how good are these trannys ? and how much stronger are they from my stock T-5, my cars a 12.40, 12,50 car on motor, and 11.50 on squeeze ? is this tranny gonna last ? or is it gona be on borrowed time ??

any imput would be great ! thanks.

Its rated for 330 ft/lbs of torque vs 350 for the run of the mill tremec

if money is tight, and you want to stay with a T5, have you considered rebuilding yours (rebuild it yourself)? pretty cheap to do, and you can upgrade internals. G-force stuff holds up well, but is pricey. a Z spec might not be bad...

just ideas. good luck.

If you don't power shift - especially 2-3, then a Z should live.

I wouldn't set my expectations much higher than with a stock T5.

a t5 is a t5, no matter what you call it. the ONLY decent version is the g force, period. Honestly, your wasting your money on anything else, cause 2-3 years from now, if not less, you are going to wind up doing this again.

If you are on anextreme budget, contact hanlon motorsports, they have a rebuild kit + a how to video for the t5 for under $200.

Do it yourself and save up for a tremec
