Performer RPM intake
Is this too much for my stock motor? Or will it still run good while being able to upgrade to other mods later? Or should i stick with the performer intake instead? thanks, joe

If you plan on making upgrades later check out the performer RPM II.

Well, that depends really?
Its not as compromised as the production piece, so if all is good then its a net zero gain. However that said, The RPM is designed for a higher reving package so it isn't tuned to the RPM range at which your engine is designed to work. You really have to ask yourself what you are planning on doing with the motor? The performer RPM is designed for what? The 2500 to 6500 rpm range? Where as the performer is designed for off idle to 5500. I say with a gear and the manifold any loss will be transparent. You might want to consider this though, why not build a seperate engine. One that is designed to take advatage of the RPM manifold, then plop it in when you've got it ready. The money you spend on the RPM manifold will be pretty well spent in this case. |
Stick with the Performer....

thanks for the help. I just stumbled on one that I think i can trade parts from my other car for. So I was interested. I always want to trade something over shelling out cash--thanks again, joe

I'm running the performer and it works great on a low revving street car. I topped it with a holley street avenger 670 and I have no complaints whatsoever!
Go performer, I say. |
I'll be going efi though. thanks for the response. The guy is starting to shit around with me though so I don't think I will have to be making this decision anyway.:(
