Tri-y or cast iron headers??...and other exhaust questions

I'm planning the install of my 302 in my 69FB:

Stock 302 heads, ported
Tri-Y or Cast headers
Stainless X-pipe 2 1/4"
Flowtech Warlock mufflers(with 3" cutout)
Stainless tail pipe with turndowns

I want the engine to breathe better through some headers at the same time keeping some sembelance of original equipment. So, Tri-y or cast headers??Who are the best suppliers for these?

Tri-Y

I use Tri-Y's on my car. I think they are about right for street driven 302's. The nickel finish doesn't hold up well at all though. I would get them ceramic coated if you can affoed the cost. All the Mustang parts houses have Tri-Y's. I think mine were made by Pro Products. The Tri-Y's may be slightly louder than the cast "Hipo" styles but should flow somewhat better. The Ti-Y's also have about the right sized primary tubes and give good low end torque but still flow well enough to 6000 RPM. I reccommend them for moderately powered street drivers. I figure if they were good enough for Carrol Shelby, then they're probably good enough for me.
