2 questions
 

question 1:
i'm trying to put my 1.6 roller rockers on. while taking the upper plenum off i got to the back and instead of being a bolt there was a stud with a nut. after removing the nut i felt what appeared to be a line of some sort. its stuck. what is it? and how do i get it off?

question 2: dipstick broke off. where is it located and can i take it off without removing the header? is there maybe and easy fix?

89 GT stock 5.0 HO

There should be a couple of vaccuum lines and the PCV valve at the back of the intake. The dipstick tube just goes into the oilpan and is sealed with an O-ring. Just undo the mount on the header and it should pull out if you give it a it of a twist at the same time.

I think your talking about that small metal bar that goes from that stud to the other side of the plenum, if you removed all the plenum nuts and bolts that bar should come off, I had to pry at mine a little.

PS On that stud I think its held on by a seperate nut, so theres 2 nuts one to remove the bar and one to remove the plenum
