5 speed tranny questions
 

I have a 98 Mustang GT 5 speed. I need to know what kinda tranny it has. My son ordered a Pro 5.0 shifter for it and I think it is the wrong one, the mounting plate looks different. The one he got is for a T5/T45. Is this the wrong shifter?

if he has a 98GT then yes he has the right shifter

heres the break down

86-95 t-5
96-01 and 1/2 t-45
01 and 1/2 ++ tr-3650

I feel like a dumbass, I was looking at the dust boot and the bolt holes for it. You gotta remember, I am used to working on 65/66 Mustangs, just a little simpler. Hope noone reads this. I got the shifter installed, but its 3 AM so its too late to fire it up and take it for a test spin. Thanks for the info! My son had to point it out to me.
