C&l 119a Maf

We've upgraded to MASS AIR on our 88GT project. Installed AFR165 heads, B303 CAM, Typoon upper/lower intake, 24LB injectors, and a C&L 119A MAF.

Here's the problem - we were told the C&L can be easily changed from 24LB calibration to higher when we get to the supercharger upgrade. The idle is pretty crappy, and it's running lean. We've done a little additional research and we're info is coming back - that even though the C&L 119A says 24LB calibration - it's really still sending 19LB signals to the computer.

Does anyone have any experience with this MAF? Any comments thoughts, suggestions are appreciated.

I really don't have experience with the C&L , but you can change its calibration by putting in a sampling tube corresponding to the injectors you are running.

My son said something about he had to use the 19LB guts off the Ford MAF that came with Mass Air conversion kit. So it sounds like the ECU is still getting 19LB signals.

What happens is that when you a C&L meter, you do use the stock Ford electronics. However the sampling tube that comes with the meter changes the amount of air that the sensor gets and forces the EEC to adjust the amount of fuel injected into the motor based on injector size. So the injectors must match the sample tube used in the meter.

That's how C&L does it from what I've read about it.
