Tires and Wheels?

So I have a 1991 Mustang GT. I am kinda new at this so was wondering if anyone could tell me the largest tires I could put on the stock pony rims? Perhaps 245/45 or 245/50 or 245/55? Something along those lines maybe. Also I have a friend that has some 245/60 Pirelli tires (new) and wants to sell them to me. Will those fit on the stock pony rims? Any input is highly appreciated. Thanks

245/55/16 are about as big as you can go on the stock rim. If you change the diameter(the middle # would affect it) then it will screw with your speedometer a little bit. Even with 245's on a non-lowered car I've heard you can have some rubbing issues so be careful. So I guess I wouldnt go any bigger than 245's IMO. As far as the Pirelli's yeah they would fit, but your speedometer would be a little off.
