Rough Idle?
Yes, I have another question. My 90 5.0 idles a bit rough is that normal for a mustang of that year? When I went to the mustang car show I noticed some other cars doing this. Is it normal?

HAHA, me again, well your asking questions at the right spot, plus...you live near me lol http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif, ok i had a rough idle, it is usually the IAB idle air bypass, get some throttle body cleaner and clean it, you will have to take it off, probaly a 15 minute job.
Hey which car show u go to? how could i miss that? anyway if those cars had a rough idle (especialy at a mustang show) your probaly hearing a radical camshaft, it's normal for a modified car to idle that way, which you probaly might know. |
IAB idle air bypass? Do you mean the AIRB air bypass valve or the AIRD air diverter valve? I am looking for the IAB idle air bypass in my Chilton's but can't seem to find anything. Can you be more specific?
Thanks for humoring a novice. ------------------ Red 90 5.0, 17in Cobra Wheels, Saleen Wing, Cobra Rear Bumbper, K&N intake, Dual Flowmasters, Hurst Shifter, 5 lug conversion, cobra brake upgrade |
oops, i think your right, but not sure, it may be the aiab, anyway it's next to the throttlebody, or mounted on the side of it.
