throtle body ??
i have bbk 65mm thb but the flap inside sticks (shut) sumtimes and i was just woundering how i could get it from sticking??
thanks mike |
Well, I've had the same issue on an Accufab 75 mm. I added a return spring purchased from the hardware store. That did the trick while adding an element of safety.

Take off the TB and look to see where it is sticking, then take some emery cloth and sand down the high spot until the blade move freely. make sure and blow the throttle body out with compressed air after to get rid of any debris.

I just cranked the blade open a little more on my Ford Racing 65mm TB, but hey, to each his own. I have a serious personal problem with sanding a portion of the opening, but that's just me. :)

ya but by opening it up wont my idle go up ??? cus dont you open it up with the idle screw???
NO SLO PK how did you put the spring on there ??? thanks mike |
I did the same on mine...just opened the idle set screw a tiny bit so it wouldn't bounce completely closed if you snapped it back (like from full throttle to idle). You don't have to move it far. My idle didn't change.
