Specs on my Camshaft

Maybe someone can help me since I'm not mechanically inclined at all. I'm trying to locate the specs on the camshaft installed in my 68 302 engine. The mechanic and family friend who rebuilt the engine passed away a few years ago so I can't find out exactly what he installed. All I remember him saying before he passed away was he had put in a Wolverine Blue Racer camshaft. He rebuilt the engine in 1994 - was there more than one type available at that time that he could have installed, or is there only one available for this size Ford engine? Any help would be appreciated.

25-30

I looked in the "library" of an engine program that I have and there were about 25 blue Racer cams made for the 289/302 Ford. Half were hydraulic and half were mechanical lifter cams. That means it could be anyone of about a dozen grinds available for your engine. You might be able to narrow it down by measuring the valve lift and comparing it to what's available.

Thanks for the info. Was hoping I'd get lucky and someone would tell me there was only one made. Measuring the lift sounds like something way beyond my expertise. Was just trying to keep a good record of everything on/in the car for the new owner after I'm dead. Guess I should be content that it runs fantastic and will definitely haul butt. Don't have a quarter mile time cause I'm too afraid to race it since my kid's college funds are in the car (ha ha).
