Okay best guess on HP estimate?

347 cid
AFR 185's (port matched)
Victor 5.0
75mm T-body
1-3/4 long tubes
11:1 comp
Comp Cams Nitrous HP, 232/244 @ .050 - .565/.580 - 114 deg for the cam specs, cam is retarded 2 deg.

Gonna round out the motor with 36 lbs/hr injectors and a 77mm Pro-M unit.

my guess, 375hp...

jonnyk 08-08-2004 07:03 PM

375 to the wheels? That'd be close to my guess too.

88fivepointoh 08-08-2004 08:30 PM

yea, 350-375 conservitively speaking at the rear wheels.. what cam is in there?

MiracleMax 08-09-2004 09:13 PM

Comp Cams Nitrous HP, 232/244 @ .050 - .565/.580 - 114 deg LSA, cam is retarded 2 deg.

Part# 35-560-8, NX282HR

Told the CC rep that I was looking for 400+ HP and a red line past 6000

advertised operating range is 2600 to 6600

also told him no S/C or NO, but interestingly that is the cam he spec'd fro my engine.

88fivepointoh 08-10-2004 03:42 PM

350 at the rear... pretty close to that.

fiveOguy20 08-10-2004 09:59 PM

hmm u guys seem to be rating REALLY conservative haha. i think properly tuned his combo is capable of 400+ at the wheels. my 2 cents

88fivepointoh 08-10-2004 10:15 PM

better to expect less and get suprised with more, then expect more and get less, I have seen a similar setup dyno at around 350-375 rwhp. those are my thoughts.

MiracleMax 08-10-2004 10:45 PM

was that with a stock computer 88 or something better able to support the engine?

I just helped a buddy put together a 393 stroker 10 to 1 with ported victor junior heads and a trick flow R intake with a 600 lift cam single pattern with 224 duration, also has 36 # injectors and the car runs and idles like a dream with the A9L ecu.

88fivepointoh 08-11-2004 02:44 PM

By buddy ran a A9L, not speed density...
