reconditioning tail lights

how would one recondition the tail light lenses? buy a 'flitz' ? sand with high grit paper? just clear coat them? or buy new ones?
thanks

if you cant get new ones, the eastwood company sells a kit for polishing plastic lenses.

Re: reconditioning tail lights

My lx tails were in fairly decent shape when I found them besides a few scratches.. I used rubbing compound to kinda buff down the scratches, then polishing compound to bring it back to a shine. spent maybe 5-10min on each one using a buffer. They look absolutely perfect now.
