turn signal blinker rate

All the bulbs light up.....replaced relay twice, but the signals still dont blink normal. They go way to fast and almost seem to just stay lit up sometimes without blinking. any tips?

Did you replace the right flasher? I believe there are two of them, one for the 4-ways, and one for the turn signals.

Do it old school! Just pump the turn signal arm when you are at an intersection =P

I think you are looking for the silver TS module not the blue one. I think the hazard relay (4 way) is under the dash out in the open while the true turn signal relay is in the fusebox.

yea, you need to change the one in the fuse panel, its for the turn signals...

But another "old school" trick is to use a hazard flasher in the turn signal spot. Hazard flashers are a bit more "heavy duty" because they are designed to flash ALL the bulbs. When you put one in the turn signal slot, it only flashes 2, doesn't get worked nearly as hard, lasts 3 times as long, costs pennies extra, and you avoid the $7 for a mechanical flasher.

Thats a good call, I am going to do that myself.

If the lights still flash with the flasher removed, you have the wrong flasher. .

The one you need is by the fuse panel under the dashboard. without a flasher they won't flash. You definetly got the wrong one.

Hazard flasher

The problem in using the hazard flasher in place of the turn signal flasher is that there is no warning when a front or rear flasher bulb goes out. Wth the turn signal flasher, when a bulb is out, the indicator light inside the car will come on but not flash when the signal is used thereby alerting the driver that a bulb is out.

With the hazard flasher, the inside indicator light continues to flash even if one of the outside turn indicator bulbs is out. At least that's how it works in my car.
