Gains with MSD 6a box?
howdy,
I was wondring how much and msd box actually helps? Anyone actually seen gains by using one? Any input is appreciated. |
No you really wont feel or see much IF ANY benefit from the MSD system, maybe idle might improve or throttle response.
This is really a component that is a benefit in the bigger picture. Higher Performance parts down the road (or currently, I don't know if your case) will appreciate the improved accuracy of a MSD ignition system. As they say, every little bit counts. This is one of those small 'bits' that helps when combined with several other small 'bits'. Some may claim a tenth or two from installing an aftermarket system, but I would say their cars probably needed a severe tune-up to begin with. -regards James |
I know a guy that installed one and ran the exact same.

Like stanglx347 said, the MSD box will not really give you any ET gains but it definately helps your throttle response. I "felt" the difference....but I didn't "see" it.
