350 at the wheels, but its anybody's guess really. Under 300 and I'd be looking for reasons why. I'm assuming 80% drive line efficiency, meaning 438 SAE at the fkywheel or maybe 450 standard dyno conditions. Again, just a wild guess.

Well with the 8lb boost, I bet you'll hit 375hp your torque should be impressive. I would just make sure your not over fueling it with the 38's... the TB at 65 is a bottle neck for ya, your loosing HP there.

Thanks for the reply

I would expect to see around 400 HP to the wheels with about 420 ft lbs of torque.

38's are not too big at all with a blower.

keeps in mind, mustangs lose about 35 horses through the drivetrain, no matter how much power you make. so...

225hp=190hp @ wheels or
450hp=415hp @ wheels

I have seen vortech S-trimmed 302's put down 460RWHP.

Seems like a good set-up to me.

Drivetrain loss is a percentage, not a set value. 12 to 17 percent is normal for a stick car, while automatics can be upwards of 20 percent. My engine made 495 on the engine dyno, and chassis dynoed in the 415 area making the percentage of loss around 16. I have a couple friends that make engine dyno power in the 720 range. Their losses are just over 100 horsepower.

I'd guess anywhere from 300-400 hp

bosss50 09-15-2004 06:15 PM

You guys are saying 300 to 400 hp, why wouldn't this combo make between 400 to 500 rwhp. I've read articals in the mag's, where engine combo's similar to this engine with out the blower made over 300 hp. So are you guys saying this motor will not get a bump from being blown?

All I have is a heads/cam/intake package and my car puts down over 300 RWHP.

I would guess you would be at 400 minimum and just under 500 maximum.

DynoJet it

Why not just put it on the DynoJet and find out for sure? The shop that I use here in Houston will do 3 pulls for $75. I think it's worth the $$.

Those TFS heads love boost...as evidenced by your pulley choice and actual real boost readings. I would wager around 450 rwhp myself.
