Injector question?!?!

Hey guys,

Okay, i jus bought a gt-40 intake. And im going to put a 70mm throttle body on it. i need to know what kind of fuel injectors im going to need. Like what lbs. The motor is going to be complete roller, flatt top, roush 202 heads, which brings me to this. Since the motor will have roller rockers does that mean i need tall boy valve covers and if so where can i get them for an efi motor i cant find them for an efi. if you need more information then tell me. What size mass air should i get as well?

We have an extremely similar set-up and I am running 24 # injectors with a pro-m 73 mm mass air sensor.

Stock injectors will work fine but 24 # injectors are better suited for high HP 302's.

The stock injectors would be fine, however, like Dark_5.0 said, if you have the extra money upgrading to #24s would be great.

If you keep the stock injectors, make sure you use a high volume fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator, so you can make up for injector size with fuel pressure. Really depends on how much power your engine is capable of making.

The bigger the better for the MAF, the Pro-M 75mm's are pretty economically priced and perform well, I have one on my car.

No idea about the valve covers.

Hope that helped a little.

I have 1.6 roller rockers under stock valve covers if that helps any.

i have crane 1.7s under my factory valve covers!

The stock valve covers should work ok if your GT is an 87-93, if it's the 94-95 I dunno.

Trickflow sells some nice valve covers that are both tall and short for the SBF EFI.

Just click on Valve covers and scroll down.

Good Luck!

Im going to get 24 lbs injectors, but should i go to a 75 mass and a 75mm thorttle? its a 87 gt-top. and probably 1.6 roller rockers, I hope this motor perduces the hp i am needing, Im wanting about 400hp or a lil more.

I think 75mm might be one size too big for the Tbody, though it shouldn't make that much of a difference. I'd probably go with 70mm.

70MM is fine... 24's are great and I run 1.6's under my stock " polished " valve covers..
