On the warning lights, you could just have a bad bulb. The fuel light will not come on normally, unless the sender tells it to (NO GAS!) The oil warning light should come on with the key on and the engine off. To change the warning bulbs take out the light switches and remove the whole gauge bezel assy. Then remove the gauge cluster. Word to the wise, get a whole slew of those little bulbs and change them all. Even the backlighting for the gauges.
As far as the mirrors go, it could be a fuse, or a bad switch. Either check your fuses, or pull the switch and check it for power.

i agree check fuse for mirror 1st, if not change the switch, used on ebay for like $5. i had the same problem, it was the switch.

Low fuel should come on for the initial ignition on, "bulb test" too, shouldn't it?

I don't think so. It doesn't go through the computer or anything. It's either told to be on, or off by the sender.
If there is fuel in the tank, and the light is on, then I would venture to say the sender is bad, or the wire is shorted. Most warning lights have 12v+ all the time and are switched on and off through the ground circuit. If the wire to the light is grounded, the light is on.....
