Most likely it's the Lower ball joint. Other possibilites include sway bar bushing, upper ball joint (if equipped) strut mount, or the strut itself (internally). Yank the wheel, CAREFULLY have a buddy bounce the car on a jack stand. Listen around, you'll find it.

I'm not sure on that one bro. I know the foxes don't, but haven't paid attention to anything newer when I was under there. I know the newer Crown Vic's have a really funky setup, but not sure if the SN95 followed suit or not. I want to say they all don't, but I'm not 100% sure, that's why I added the "if equipped" thing. On the Fox the strut mounts right to the spindle, and they use the upper strut mount as the "ball joint".

non have upper ball joints, they have bearing plates. most likely struts are shot. how many miles? could be a bushing.. hose the car down, does it stop? listen around for it. usualy and like my buick PA, its the struts.
