Both parts are 1987, thus the "E7" The "T" means truck, "A" means Galazie. Mustangs are a "Z" code here. And the final "E" in the casting number simply means it's an engine part. Sooooo since I haven't seen any 1987 Galaxies running around...... it must mean the "generic" 1958 and later Ford. They used an "A" code when a part fit many many vehicles, such as a crank for a 302.

Casting number on the crank won't tell you what engine it's from. And a 306 is simply a 302 that's bored .030" over, so the crank will be the same. The bore should be 4.030"
