bassani x pipe

I just put a bassani x pipe with catalytic converters on my 93 Ford Mustang. The car
now knocks and pings during acceleration and on hills. The rest of the exhaust system is stock. I replaced the Oxygen sensors at the time of installation and the timing is set at the stock 10 degrees. The fuel pump is stock but only about a month old. Has any one else out there had this problem? If I
unplug the battery to reset the computer how
long should it be disconnected? Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanx

You shouldn't have to reset the computer when you changed the O2 sensors and the x-pipe. I have the same pipe as you on a 94 mustang gt and didn't have any problems with pinging after the installation. Are you using high octane fuel?

I don't think the X-pipe could do that but when installing it you may of mess some thing on the engine may be the O2 sensors are not working? I really dont know http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/frown.gif I hope you get it working!
