Engine Over REVs on its own!!!
My problem is this: Sometimes when I shift between 5300-6000RPM the moment I push the clutch in, the engine flares beyond 6500 (off the gauge) and hangs there, if I shift before 5000-5200 it will never do this. the only thing that stops the engine flare is turning off the engine, when I turn it back on again its fine.
What is strange it did this with a completely stock engine as well, before I put my combo listed below in there. What would cause the throttle to conditionally stick only between those RPMs? |
Re: Engine Over REVs on its own!!!
The only thing I can think of right now is a weak throttle return spring. The airflow at the higher RPM could be holding the throttle body open.

At least it was simple and cheap to fix.
