Engine Dies?

This weekend i tired to break in my cam, but about 30 seconds into the break-in the motor died so i started it back up and brought up the rpms and 20-30 seconds into the break-in the motor died again. Im a little lost on where to go from here. If you can please help me out, Thanks.

I had the balancer at 30 degrees before top dead center then i dropped the distributor in with it a touch advanced.

my setup is: 351w: 10:8:1 compression
Mighty Demon 750 carb
Victor jr. intake
Victor jr. heads
comp cams hydraulic flat tappet: 250, 256 duration @ 50 degrees
554, 558 lift.
MSD billet distributor (21 degrees mechanical advance)
MSD 6a box
MSD coil

Re: Engine Dies?

Start with the advance 0 -15 advanced inititial. Nothing should kill the engine at any time. Check your fuel pressure supply? You need 30 minutes of 1500-2000 RPM running to get the cam broken in. Make sure you have adequate fuel is my main guess to keep it running
