Powerdyne 6 to 9 pullie?

Can I just replace the pullie on my 6psi Powerdyne for a smaller one to make it a 9psi? How much do they cost? Do you have to get them from Powerdyne or is there an after market pullie out there? Is it safe to do this?

thanks for the help

yes, you can change the pulley to a smaller one but may also need a new size belt if the tensioner does'nt keep up. i bought mine thru asp and went with a 11psi pulley and a 7inch crank pulley. its a one piece blower pulley and is a lot lighter than the one powerdyne sends.

So it can be changed. How much did it cost you?

Seems like it was about 160 for both. I think the blower pulley by itself was about 40 or 50. Call ASP or go to there sit for prices. aspracing.com

The pulley is $70 bucks from powerdyne. You can't just shove more boost into your engine without a boost retard or powerdyne's smartspark cpu plug-in. You also need a minimum 190lph fuel pump. The 9# kit is the same as the six pound except it has the fuel pump and computer chip. Just know that you're going to have to sort it out, you can't just bolt the pulley on and go.

I have a BTM and a 190 fuel pump in it already. Is that enough or do I need anything else? Would I need some kind of blow off valve?

Yes you should get a bypass valve if you dont have one. They say that it will prolong the life of the charger. Im not running right now and when i shut the throttle off it surges the intake tube and for a few seconds the car starts to surge untill the pressure drops. ASP's pulley is cheaper than the powerdyne one and better looking.
