Window Regulator Dilemma
My window regulator needs to be replaced but I can't figure out how to 'correctly' remove it from the door. I've got all of the securing bolts removed, so the unit collapses, but it stills seems attached as I can't get the damned thing out of the door. Is there a step by step procedure(with illustrations) somewhere out there? Any suggestions on a really good tech manual that could walk me through this? Any advice from someone who has done this?

Re: Window Regulator Dilemma
Get the Ford Mustang shop manual for '67. A very worthwhile investment available form any of the Mustang parts houses around the country. I can't tell you how many times I've used mine. BTW, I just had to replace my driver's side regulator. I bought a rpro for $36. It does work OK, but not as well as the Ford original. The original was $100 though.
You probably have not disconnected the rollers that attatch the regulator to the window slide bar. They are retained by wire clips that fit around the rollers. At least that's how it is on the '66. Rev |
