New cam ??
 

How do you guys break in new cam. I have been told to fire the motor up and run it at 2500 for about thirty minutes. What do you think? Thanks for your help.

I just got done talking with compcams and they told me there is not really any breakin time for a roller cam. Is this true? Thanks

roller cams don't require a breakin, but i would say lay off for a little while, till your next oil change, say.

I say that if something is going to go wrong its just going to happen. When I first got my motor running, I let it run for about 5 minutes, pulled it out of the garage and tore the road up. That was about 2,500 miles ago and no problems with the motor.
