fuel pressure gauge

hi i'm new to the boards and im in the final stages of installing a edelbrock performer II intake manifold. i bought a kirban fuel pressure regulator and a BBK pressure gauge i removed the original stem that is behind the alternator on the fuel lines i put the gauge where it supposed to go and it started leaking fuel. can anynone tell me why or tell me how to stop it from leaking.

thanks in advance.

Did you use teflon tape?

Don't use the tape, it can clog the gauge. Hit up your local autoparts store and pick up some teflon paste.

Re: fuel pressure gauge

this may be a silly question but is it a water gauge or pressure gauge? and would just a regular PSI gauge work?

it's a pressure gauge, and i don't know if a regular psi gauge will work i'm kinda new into fixing my stang, only a about six months in.

Good point, but as long as he doesn't use 4 tons of it he'll be fine. I've never had any problems using it. I AM starting to hear good things about the stuff your speaking of though.
