Gears from other cars?
 

Is it true you can take 3.73 gears out of a stock explorer and bronco? If so what year and how do they hold up???? :eek:

Yes its true I had explorer 3.73's in my 88GT that I got off of ebay for 40 bux.

Ford gears are the best gears they hold up great.

Dont let anyone feed you alot of BS about never use used gears. If they are in "Good" condition they go in and work great.

wow! What year explorers have 3.73s? and how do i tell for sure? i think im going to the junk yard today! :rolleyes:

The 02's were standard 3.73's unless the premium package was included which was 4.10's. Some of the 2003-2004's came with the 3.73 option as well.
