It is a widely accepted fact that the Holley systemax Intake manifold is the only thing worth having out of the systemax kit.

Re: Holley Systemax?
well. today I ported the heads, I will just learn the hard way. It's all going on the 342, sept the cam, should be running real soon.

Re: Holley Systemax?
The heads were known for quick wear of the valve guides. If the heads have been redone professionally, they may be worth having "for cheap". The intake is a good one - but the front runners could use some work - take a look and you'll see what I mean. The upper runner wall also has a "unique" feature where it meets the lower.

Re: Holley Systemax?
I did notice that in the intake and will address it. The heads were just done. I have the cam in my 342, indexed and complete. I actually bought a whole car. A Black sun roof 89 LX, never stripped or lightened. 12.6 @ 106, motor and 11.60 @ 116 on a 100shot. Holly systemax, 65TB, 30lbs, big mass air, pullys, FPR, K&N, headers, flowmasters, h pipe, A9L computer and chip, Tremac 3550, 373s, NOS, cowl hood, elec windows, CD player, msd coil, wires, and cap and rotor, 10 holes, not good tires. And what ever I have over looked. The car is not a cherry, but OK. I will put a bone stock motor in it and give it to my son (who wanted a mini cooper) in june for his B-day. He allready wants to start working on it. I payed $1800.00 for it. With a torn up rod bearing in the bottom end.

Nice, wish I got a 5.0 for my first car. I got stuck with a 86 Dodge Charger. :( :D
